BC is being invaded… funny story.
Good News sounds like Trevor is doing pretty good after his surgery. Most of his pain is going, he is still experiencing double vision, but other wise it sounds like it is going well.
Today we were repairing trails up in the mountains. Trying to get in good with the hut owners since they put up with 60 crazy upward bound students. My is good. I keep forgetting the digital camera, but soon I will show you all some good pics of them. Our name team name is “Love Wagon” or “Liebe wagen”. Very classy I must say.
Time is running out!!! Soon Kim and I will be on our way home and we know that many of you are excited to send us letters, but just have been putting it off for the right moment. Well that moment is here. We have increased the size of our European mailbox so as to handle the increased load, but remember we leave Austria August 14th so large packages must be mailed soon to reduce cost and smaller letter should be sent as well just in case they take a bit longer then normal. In case you have misplaced our address I have included it below:

Today’s post is a prayer request for Kim’s cousin Trevor and his family. He is going in for some very serious brain surgery. He had a shunt put in as a child and it is not working properly and because of this he has fluid building up around his brain that can be extremely damaging as the presure grows. It has taken two weeks for the proper doctor to see him and sort out the problem. Today he goes in for surgery to have his shunt replaced. It has been hard on him as they did many tests including a spinal tap and his family as they have lived with uncertainty. So, pray that the surgery goes well, that the doctors do a good job and that he has a good recovery. Also pray for comfort for his wife and parents and the rest of his family. I hope that is clear as I have been pulling information from various emails.
Well it was the first full day of Upward Bound. We got to meet the students that are in our groups. Looks like it is going to be a good time. Everyone seems to be excited and I believe we have some pretty exciting things planned for them. I will try to capture some of the action with my camera this week and hopefully Saturday or Sunday we will have a good week in pictures.
The only downside with this last weekend was that I was surfing on the river with Christian when I pounded the bottom of my foot into a rock and now I have a bruise on the bottom of my feet that are suppose to be doing hiking. Hopefully it is better soon. So far my tough guy image is holding up, but I don’t know for how much longer.
As well I have started climbing every morning on the local wall with Jerry(You can see his picture in the last week of pictures). Well every morning being this morning and hopefully others.
Well the week in pictures is a day late, but here it is…Instructor Week. Upward Bound starts today and so far it looks like a good group and it looks like it should be a great time.
Well it has been a great week of training. I left the picture of Kim and I up for a while since it is so nice to look at. Starting tomorrow I am going to be doing the week in pictures. It will be a new feature on teeuwsen.com. I am hoping to add a bunch of other features, but they will have to wait to upward bound is finished, because I have to many other things to do. So… till tomorrow.
3 Years!!!!! As of today Kim and I have been married for 3 very quick years. Nothing but good times… well almost. lol It has been great and I am looking forward to the next 100 or so. That is if we live as long as Kim thinks we will.
Ahhh…. the first day of Upward Bound instructor training. Talked through a lot of things, went on a short hike and got to know the other instructors a bit. Great people. Should be a great time. Lots of great events planned. I will keep you posted with some good pics.
Man oh man… so four more stitches, or sutures to be more correct. I think that brings up the grand total to 12 , for the last 4 months. I don’t know, must be doing something wrong. Oh and not to worry, no awful pictures this time *smirk*.
