Hello Cyber Space Travellers!

Last weekend I went on a 3 day backpacking trip in Jasper National Park….

I present to you “The Skyline Trail”

I went with my buddy Rick, his wife Michelle, and their brother-in-law Jaden

We had some rain, a very small bit of snow and one Grizzly Bear!

The Skyilne Trail is 44km long. We did it in 3 days, I think if I had the time 4 would be better.

The Skyline Trail has an elevation gain of 1350m.

The Skyline Trail has end points at Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon.

The Skyline Trail has 7 designated campsites – ohh ahhh

The Skyline Trail is above the tree line for 23km.

The Skyline Trail …. well I don’t have many more useless peices of information. It is an amazing hike and one of the most popular ones in Jasper. I now can see why, the views are just absolutely stunning! My pictures don’t really do it justice, but here are a couple more.

There is nothing quite like backcountry camping, I love being away from everything and just you, your friends, and the mountains.

NFLD Day …
Well we ran out of Internet access and then Air Canada lost our baggage and now that we have finally gotten it back we can give you the final update. Well at least as far as Kim, Judah, Dan, Nicole and Myself are concerned. Mom and Dad are still there looking around.

Homes on the Water

Judah get’s his feet in the other Ocean. He has now been in two.

The Wedding Reception

I know another picture of Judah, but this time he is in the sand. 🙂

Sunset on the Ocean and if you waited a little longer you would of seen a few white bums jumping into the water. 🙂

Dan being held up by the wind.

Island that will be used in my pirate movie.

Another picture of the island.

Nicole on the shore.

Some more homes.

Mom on the Rocks.

More homes.

Trying to catch up on sleep on the way home.

It was a good trip and we met a lot of great people. Yup, I would do it again.

Well I was going to post a bunch from Newfoundland, but as luck would have it all of our baggage was lost on our flight home. So… we are moving into day 2 and I am starting to wondering is it coming…

CRAP!

Well assuming we get the baggage and everything is still there I will be happy to fill you in on the rest of the trip that I was unable to due to the fact that no one had Internet after we left St. John’s.
